The much-anticipated Hyundai Alcazar has been introducing in the Indian market. The introductory prices for the petrol version starting at Rs 16.30 lakh, while the diesel version is priced from Rs 16.53 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
It will also get its own distinct design and styling to make it stand out from its younger sibling. Hyundai has also officially started accepting bookings for the Alcazar, with the booking amount set at Rs 25,000.
The Hyundai Alcazar will be aim squarely at the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 will also compete in the same segment.
Hyundai Alcazar Variants & Colors
Hyundai will offer the Alcazar in six variants: Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O). Dual-tone colors are limited to the top-spec Signature and Signature (O), taking the total variant colors to eight.
The Alcazar will come in six colors: Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Phantom Black, Starry Night, and Taiga Brown. The dual-tone options include Polar White and Titan Grey with a black roof.
Alcazar Engine Options
The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar shares its underpinnings with the smaller Creta SUV. However, engine options are slightly different. The diesel model will use the same 1.5-liter turbocharged engine as the Creta, which delivers an identical 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque. But the petrol engine is a larger 2.0-liter unit borrow from the bigger Tucson.
In the Alcazar, the petrol motor will be tuned to produce 159 hp and 192 Nm of torque. Both engines will be available with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
Alcazar Interior Features
The Alcazar will take the best bits from the Creta and elevate the offering. It is designing to offer a 2,760 mm long wheelbase, which is 150 mm more than the Creta. It is also the longest in its segment comparing to Safari and Hector Plus.
Hyundai will offer the Alcazar with a 7-seat configuration, or a 6-seat captain seat middle row layout with a center console. The Hyundai Alcazar will comes with 180 liter boot-space.
It will come equipped with the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai Blue-link like the Creta, wireless smartphone charging pads in the first and 2nd row of seats, panoramic sunroof among other features as well.

Hyundai Alcazar Exterior Design
The Hyundai Alcazar has a wheelbase of 2,760mm which is 150mm more than that of Creta. Needless to say, this has been done in order to accommodate an extra row of seats. Now, if you are thinking that the Alcazar is just an extended version of the Creta, well, think again as there are some noteworthy differences to make the two look distinct.
First, the Alcazar gets a tweaked grille at the front and the bumper has also been updated. Moreover, you get new wraparound tail lamps along with faux dual exhaust tips at the rear.
